QEI Pty. Ltd. is a Brisbane based team of drafters specialising in providing shop detail drawings for use in the fabrication of structural steel. We are involved in projects located through Australia and overseas. QEI has been serving the steel fabrication industry since incorporation in the mid 1970's. Queensland Engineering Industries was registered in Queensland mid 1964 performing general drafting duties for the community at large.

We are a member company of the Australian Industry Group (AIG) [Formerly Metal Traders Industry Association] and an associate member of the Australian Steel Institute. QEI Pty. Ltd. is also a foundation member of the Australian Institute of Steel Detailers (QLD) Inc. Accordingly we are bound by the code of ethics and rules of each body. We receive regular bulletins from these sources covering the latest development & technologies concerning the steel fabrication industry.
